Venkatesh Prasad didn’t mince words when expressing his strong criticism of the Indian cricket team following their defeat to the West Indies in the second ODI match.
Former Indian fast bowler Venkatesh Prasad expressed his criticism of Rohit Sharma and the Indian cricket team after their loss in the second ODI match against West Indies in Barbados on Saturday. India faced difficulties in scoring runs, especially in the absence of star batsmen Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, ultimately getting all out for a mere 181 runs.
Earlier, the Indian team missed an opportunity to secure a clean sweep against the hosts in the Test series, with the second match ending in a draw due to rain. Prasad took to Twitter to voice his concerns, stating that India has displayed mediocrity in white-ball cricket. He also mentioned their recent struggles, including losing ODI series against Bangladesh, South Africa, and Australia and their underwhelming performances in the last two T20 World Cups.
In his tweet, Prasad pointed out that India neither plays exciting cricket like England nor exhibits the ruthlessness that was once a trademark of the Australian team.
